While you are all pounding away at coding your ship sim, and turning it into the game you've always wanted, I wanted to make note of a project I found that you may be interested in teaming up with, to really blow the minds of every player who might ever be interested in this kind of game. Not sure how it would work in the long run, but while you're talking procedurally generated asteroids, a guy in russia is talking procedurally generated UNIVERSE... en.spaceengine.org/ It's just begging for a game to play in it. The developed has some... ideas... but not playable ones. Check it out, guys. I love where your system is going, and can't wait to see the finished product.
