Editor Part 5: Interiors!

Interior design will never be the same for Blockade Runner, with part 5 of our editor videos showing off the interiors!
A completely self-contained material with fully trimmed floor, ceiling, and detailed walls, the interiors were built to cut down on the enormous amount of time it would take to decorate the halls of larger cruisers, as well as make it easier for players to navigate the rooms. Watch the video below and see what you’ll be able to do with the interior material!
This video demonstrates only a single interior design with a fixed variation, however the amount of interiors and their designs are highly customizable allowing for very unique looks to individual rooms.
Note that interiors can be placed on the outside just as well as the inside. However, the interiors provide very little (if any) protection from weaponry and cosmic debris. So although having your hallways on the outside can look kind of neat, one stray projectile will tear right through it!
More on the editor soon, stay tuned!

Excellent work. I always thought navigating the interiors was annoying. Now one can tell which way is up :D

Re: Editor Part 5: Interiors!
How about the interiors of the ships from Starship troopers? Or the ones from Battlestar Galactica would also be cool

Re: Editor Part 5: Interiors!
I love your game, i heavily support the development of this game, as i did with minecraft, and a few others, anyway i would like to see the ability to change colors of the out side panels, like a heavy panel but lets say i want it white, also if u could make a new collision system, (im sure u have it planned) like when two ships collide the first block to hit get crushed then the rest start to sort-of bend (email me if u dont understand) and then will break off and drift away, the interior i would like to see added is like the one from the first ship in StarWars: A New Hope, (The small white one that was controlled by the rebellion) i wish u good luck and i will be checking back and i cant wait for the updated editor, ~Necromurderer

Looks f*cking great!I cant wait to get my hands on the new editor! as ^ Necromurderer wrote, Ramming!, i read somewhere on the forum that you planned to be able to ram ships together Battlestar Galactica style :D Its the only way to board a ship IMO, Moar Destruction!
But the the thing about slicing parts of ships off and it drifts in space? i know its technically hard to do but couldnt you make it so a pice under a set size / tonnage slowly dissappears, like voxel by voxel and bigger pieces becomes a new enity and drifts off?.. :)
it would also accomodate the whole Salvager proffession in Sci-fi to be able to find wrecks of battleships and salvage parts for resources.. or create some wrecks yourself ;)
